If you are planning to visit Germany as a tourist, then you must know the visa requirements for this  European nation. You will need a short-term visa to visit Germany which is valid for 90 days. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR GERMANY TOURIST VISA:
  • A valid passport
  • Issue date of passport must be within the previous ten years
  • Passport size photos
  • A copy of your completed and signed application form
  • Proof of hotel bookings, flight bookings and a detailed plan of your activities during the duration of your stay in Germany
  • Copy of tour ticket
  • Proof of having enough finances to support your travel and stay in the country
  • Recent statement from your bank
  • Proof of having a valid medical insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros
  • No-objection certificate from your university or school of you are student and from your employer of you are working in a company
  • A Cover letter explaining your reason to visit Germany
  • Proof of civil status. That could be a marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, ration card (if applicable), etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR JOB SEEKER VISA
  • You must have a minimum 6 months of experience and 15 years of education and the qualification and university must be H+ as per Anabin. 
  • Applicants from Mumbai or Delhi region must have 16 years of regular education either 4 years Bachelor’s degree or 3 years Bachelor’s degree with a Master’s degree. 
  • English proficiency is sufficient to qualify for the visa; however, it is highly recommended that you learn the German Language to survive in Germany. 
  • You must hold sufficient funds for a 6-month stay in Germany. Funds have to be maintained from at least 1 month prior to filing and maintained till the German Immigration Department takes a decision. 
  • Must show accommodation proof for the 6 months duration.

If you want to visit Germany for business purposes, then you will need to apply for a business visa. With this visa a businessman can visit Germany for business purposes such as corporate meetings, employment or partnership meetings.

GERMANY BUSINESS VISA CHECKLIST:

To apply for a Germany Business Visa, you need the following documentation:

  • Valid passport with at least three months validity
  • 2 passport size photos
  • Completed visa application form
  • Proof of having financial resources to pay for your return trip and stay in Germany
  • Travel insurance policy with a value of 30,000 pounds
  • Covering letter from your company in case you are travelling to Germany on behalf of their business
  • Invitation letter from the company you will be visiting with details of their address and dates of your visit
  • A certificate from your employer giving permission for your business travel and a Power of attorney from your company giving you full authority
  • Proof of previous trade relations between the two companies
  • Bank statement of the company for the last 3 months
  • Income tax returns of last three years
  • Company must give declaration for coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Proof of civil status
VALIDITY AND PROCESSING TIME:

You can stay for a maximum period of 90 days in Germany or any other country in the Schengen region with the business visa.
